Management Neil Cole founded the company in 1992 and has served as the Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer since February 23, 1993. Mr. Cole also served as Chairman of the Board, President, Treasurer and a director of New Retail Concepts, Inc. ("NRC"), a publicly held licensing company, from its inception in 1986 until it was merged with and into the Company in August 1998. Mr. Cole founded and serves as Chairman of the Board of the Candie’s Foundation, a public charity dedicated to educating teens about the consequences of teen pregnancy. Mr. Cole is an attorney who graduated from Hofstra law school in 1982. Warren Clamen, Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, joined the Company in March 2005, as the Company's Chief Financial Officer. From June 2001 until March 2005, Mr. Clamen served as the Vice President of Finance of Columbia House, one of the world's largest licensees of content for music and film. From December 1998 to June 2001, he was Vice President of Finance of Marvel Entertainment, Inc., one of the world's largest public licensing companies. Prior to that time, Mr. Clamen served as the Director, International Management of Biochem Pharma, Inc. a public company located in Montreal, Canada, whose securities had traded on NASDAQ, and was a Senior Manager at Richter, Usher and Vineberg, an accounting firm also located in Montreal, Canada. Mr. Clamen is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Accountant and received a Bachelor of Commerce and Graduate Diploma in Public Accounting from McGill University in Montreal. Dari Marder has been working for the Company in various creative capacities since its inception. Ms. Marder began her career with Neil Cole in 1987 as Director of Advertising and Public Relations for New Retail Concepts, Inc. She has been the creative force behind several notorious campaigns including the Donna Rice endorsement for "No Excuses" jeans and Jenny McCarthy’s controversial time spent on the toilet advertising Candie’s slides. Ms. Marder currently serves as Chief Marketing Officer. She graduated from The Fashion Institute of Technology and began her career at Playboy Enterprises in the role of assistant to the Fashion Editor of Playboy Magazine. Ms. Marder is one of the founders of The Candie’s Foundation, a public charity dedicated to educating teens about the consequences of teen pregnancy. Andrew Tarshis, Executive Vice President and General Counsel, joined the Company in July 22, 2005 as Senior Vice President – Business Affairs and General Counsel of its Joe Boxer division. Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Tarshis served as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Windsong Allegiance Group, LLC, an apparel manufacturing, brand management and licensing company that owned the Joe Boxer, Hathaway, New Frontier and Como Sport brands. Prior to joining Windsong Allegiance, Mr. Tarshis worked as a general attorney at Toys “R” Us, Inc. Prior to joining Toys “R” Us, Mr. Tarshis worked for 7 years in private practice as a general practice and intellectual property attorney. Mr. Tarshis received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Michigan in 1988 and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1992. |
